A leading real estate investment firm is seeking a Senior Manager, Technical Accounting to join their high-performing & growing Corporate Accounting team. Reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer, the Senior Manager, Technical Accounting will research complex accounting matters and maintain a sound accounting policy within the group.
Our client is a leading real estate firm based in Toronto, with a vastly growing portfolio across US & Canada and a renowned team culture.
The group has been growing significantly over the past couple of years and they are searching for a Senior Manager, Technical Accounting to join their Corporate Accounting team.
Senior Manager, Technical Accounting
- Lead and mentor the accounting team
- Provide technical accounting services to stakeholders
- Research complex accounting issues and provide sufficient recommendations + prepare correct memorandum
- Consult and lead technical accounting discussions with the group's audit firm
- Keep up-to-date with accounting standards under US GAAP and IFRS
- Assist with ad hoc projects, as required
Requirements
- University degree + CPA designation
- Strong preference for Big 4 experience in a leadership capacity
- Extensive knowledge of IFRS technical accounting, US GAAP, and financial reporting
- Real estate industry experience would be a strong asset
