Finance Manager

A leading Canadian REIT is seeking a Finance Manager to join their Toronto team. Reporting to the Director of Finance Accounting, this role will support the build-out and leadership of the Development Accounting & Reporting team. The Finance Manager will have responsibility for accounting and reporting for the entire financial analysis process, annual budget process and management reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Review of the annual, monthly and quarterly consolidated financial reports, including preparing consolidated ASPE annual financial statements, investor summary reports, and portfolio analysis
• Review monthly HST returns, bank reconciliations and invoice payments
• Management of the annual budget process, including preparation of budgets and forecasts as required
• Oversight and management of the treasury process, including actively managing capital models to ensure onside with covenants, monitoring bank balances and borrowings, forecasting liquidity requirements, and managing the quarterly compliance process
• Preparation and review of investor related activities, including capital calls, distributions, investor statements, as well as maintaining the integrity of the investor database and addressing investor requests
• Liaise with asset management and investment groups, providing necessary information as requested
• Management of the annual audit process as well as the preparation of certain tax files

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in finance or business commerce with CPA designation or international equivalent
• 4-5 years of experience in Real estate under a finance capacity
• Working knowledge of ASPE & IFRS
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
