Reporting directly to the Controller, the Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for managing the monthly and quarterly financial close and supporting the reporting process. They will be work closely with various business groups in a dynamic, growing company. Responsibilities:
- Manage the accounting functions for the business including bank, AR, AP, GL to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Prepare reconciliations for all the key accounts in a timely manner for review.
- Assist the Financial Controller with the financial reporting close process and preparation of public documents including quarterly/annual financial statements, MD&A and AIF.
- Support the quarterly review and annual audit of financial statements with external auditor.
- Support the preparation and analysis of key accounting, internal control and policy and procedure documentation.
- Involvement in the roll out of a new ERP system implementation.
- Assist in ad-hoc finance projects, including but not limited to budgeting, operations finance, capital markets analysis, due diligence, etc.
Requirements:
- CPA or equivalent designation (required)
- 3 years of experience in accounting and/or financial reporting, preferably in public company reporting
- Open to new and disruptive technology and industry
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with senior management
- Ability to take ownership of deliverables and contribute to decision making process
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products and experience using accounting and reporting software (i.e. NetSuite)
