A market-leading private equity real estate firm in Toronto is seeking a Manager, Fund Accounting to join their ever-growing team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Fund Accounting, the Manager will be responsible for leading accounting and financial reporting for private investor funds, including investor reporting and management analysis.
Manager, Fund Accounting
- Provide leadership to accountants/senior accountants in the team
- Oversight of the financial statement preparation (on a quarterly basis) and reporting for private investors
- Oversight of the monthly close and joint venture consolidation process
- Assist with fund joint venture audit process
- Enforce proper internal controls
- Work with the investment team, developers, equity partners, lenders, and other external parties
Qualifications
- University Degree + CPA
- Thorough knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting
- Proven experience as a manager/leader within fund management position
- Experience with Private Equity funds preferred
- Experience in real estate a big asset
