Senior Accountant, Fund Accounting

As a Senior Accountant, Fund Accounting, you will play a crucial role in the Finance team, focusing on fund accounting and financial reporting activities. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for real estate investment funds. You will collaborate closely with various internal teams, including asset management, operations, and investor relations, as well as external service providers.

What You'll Do...

• Prepare financial statements and reports for real estate investment funds in compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
• Oversee the fund accounting processes, including general ledger maintenance, cash management, and NAV calculations.
• Perform thorough analysis and reconciliation of fund transactions, investment performance, and portfolio valuation.
• Collaborate with auditors to support annual audits and resolve any accounting or reporting queries.
• Prepare investor capital call and distribution notices, as well as respond to investor inquiries.
• Assist in the preparation of investor presentations and reports to effectively communicate fund performance and financial updates.
• Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in fund accounting to ensure compliance and enhance processes.

What You Bring...

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in fund accounting, preferably within the real estate or private equity industry.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations (IFRS or US GAAP).
• Experience with real estate investment funds and familiarity with fund structures and related accounting processes.
• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
• Excellent analytical skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate and build relationships across various teams.
