We are partnered with a fantastic real estate firm looking for a Senior Financial Analyst. The Senior Financial Analyst will be reporting to the Manager, Finance. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinating, reconciling, analyzing and verifying accounting information;
• Preparing the month-end packages within set timelines;
• Reviewing and analyzing expenses and operating trends compared to the budget;
• Maintaining the fixed asset system;
• Preparing and maintaining various commodity tax and regulatory filings;
• Preparing audit packages for statutory requirements and other audits as required;
• Assisting in the preparation of the annual budgets and forecasts;
• Providing recommendations on internal control procedures, system improvements and process enhancements and assisting in the implementation of approved changes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• University Degree - Bachelor of Arts, Commerce/Economics
• Completion or near completion of the CPA designation required
• A minimum of 3 years of related experience is required - knowledge of the financial service industry would be an asset
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced knowledge of Excel
• Familiarity with Multiview accounting software is an asset
• Ability to prioritize workload, meet strict deadlines and multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Detail-oriented with logical and a solid understanding of accounting principles
