Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounting Manager to join their team in Toronto! As a boutique commercial real estate brokerage and asset management firm, our client is looking for a passionate individual who can take charge of all accounting related functions and operations. Reporting directly to the President of the organization, the successful candidate should possess a sound understanding and knowledge of the real estate industry and be ready to take on new challenges

Responsibilities:

• Maintain all financial records and appropriate ledgers.
• Manage cash flow and banking relationships.
• Ensure that effective accounting/financial controls and procedures are in place.
• Manage all tax-related matters (including HST administration and non-resident filings).
• Ensure accuracy of all accounting records.
• Effectively manage all accounting functions including A/P, A/R, revenue accounting, general ledger and information preparation.
• Analyze and ensure the accurate collection, preparation and integrity of accounting/financial data including invoices, billings, bad debt, vendor contracts, hold backs, receivables etc.
• Prepare and manage employee contracts, time tracking, attendance, vacation entitlements, benefit entitlements, and personnel records.
• Perform bi-weekly payroll

Requirements:

• Post-secondary accounting education.
• Minimum 3-5 years accounting experience, preferably real estate related experience.
• Advanced to expert computer and software skills and ideally Yardi.
• Experience with real estate acquisitions and sales
