The Corporate Accountant will be a vital member of the finance team, reporting to the Finance Manager. This role is based in a major city’s financial district and offers a pathway to a rewarding career within a distinguished asset management company. The Corporate Accountant will oversee the maintenance of accounting records for the company’s operations and engage with various teams to spearhead improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the monthly financial close process for assigned entities, driving process enhancements and efficiencies.
Manage routine accounting procedures and transactions.
Prepare and record daily and monthly journal entries.
Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and calculate loans and interest.
Handle quarterly intercompany billings.
Support analyses for management reporting and compliance.
Work closely with business units and departments to ensure accurate intercompany transactions.
Advocate for and implement process improvements within the finance framework.
Participate in special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
At least 2 years of experience in accounting or auditing.
Currently pursuing a CPA designation.
Proficient in financial systems and advanced Excel.
Demonstrated leadership and team support capabilities.
Organized and adaptable to a dynamic and fast-paced work setting.
Strong communication skills and a high level of attention to detail.
Self-motivated with a proactive approach to workload management and professional growth.
Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics is advantageous.
