Corporate Accountant

The Corporate Accountant will be a vital member of the finance team, reporting to the Finance Manager. This role is based in a major city’s financial district and offers a pathway to a rewarding career within a distinguished asset management company. The Corporate Accountant will oversee the maintenance of accounting records for the company’s operations and engage with various teams to spearhead improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the monthly financial close process for assigned entities, driving process enhancements and efficiencies.
  • Manage routine accounting procedures and transactions.
  • Prepare and record daily and monthly journal entries.
  • Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and calculate loans and interest.
  • Handle quarterly intercompany billings.
  • Support analyses for management reporting and compliance.
  • Work closely with business units and departments to ensure accurate intercompany transactions.
  • Advocate for and implement process improvements within the finance framework.
  • Participate in special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in accounting or auditing.
  • Currently pursuing a CPA designation.
  • Proficient in financial systems and advanced Excel.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team support capabilities.
  • Organized and adaptable to a dynamic and fast-paced work setting.
  • Strong communication skills and a high level of attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to workload management and professional growth.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics is advantageous.
