The Finance Manager will be a key member of the corporate team, reporting to the SVP. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the consolidation and presentation of financial data for internal and external reporting on a regular and ad-hoc basis.
- Navigate complex accounting procedures and collaborate with various departments to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Spearhead the monthly financial close process, seeking out and implementing process improvements.
- Supervise the preparation of journal entries and the accuracy of financial accruals.
- Oversee the finance department’s involvement in shared services, including treasury and accounts payable.
- Engage with various business units to support finance-related queries and initiatives.
- Mentor junior staff, fostering their professional growth and development.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, tools, and reporting mechanisms.
- Manage and execute special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- 4-6 years of experience in accounting or audit roles.
- Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA).
- Familiarity with IFRS reporting standards for public companies.
- Proficient in financial software and advanced Excel capabilities.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and a team-oriented mindset.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, complex environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
