Manager, Outsourced Accounting Services (REIT)

An exciting opportunity has arisen with a well-renowned Canadian REIT for a Manager of Outsourced Services. The Manager, Outsourced Services is responsible for managing a recently established third-party outsource contract supporting the operational accounting and lease administration functions. This newly created role will work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and the service provider to monitor, audit and enhance the relationship and service delivery.

What you'll do:

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with outsource service providers
• Administer the governance framework in collaboration with operational accounting leaders, key internal stakeholders, and the outsourced service provider
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPI’s) and metrics to assess the efficiency and quality of services
• Identify deficiencies and ensure continuous improvement in collaboration with the service provider and internal teams
• Act as a project coordinator for transformation projects ensuring on-time completion
• Conduct annual controls testing, audits to ensure data accuracy and compliance with contractual obligations
• Act as a liaison between the internal organization and outsourcing partners
• Review all invoicing to ensure charges are in accordance with the agreed terms and conditions of the contract

What you bring:

• Proven experience developing and managing successful relationships with vendors/suppliers
• Background or experience working with accounting and real estate teams considered an asset
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience leading cross-functional projects including the ability to influence without authority
• Process-oriented with strong project management skills
• Strong understanding of contract governance and management
• High degree of business ethics and accountability
