Senior Tax Analyst

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and results-driven Senior Tax Analyst to join a leading investment management firm. This role is integral to the growth of the organisation, offering the chance to work within a dynamic Finance Team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation of tax and related compliance requirements, ensuring the highest standards of stakeholder responsiveness, efficiency, quality, and data accuracy. This position offers a highly competitive compensation package commensurate with experience.

What you'll do:

  • Prepare partnership and corporate income tax and information returns/elections in accordance with Canadian tax rules.
  • Organise, prepare and document tax-related files and supporting working papers.
  • Review externally prepared Canadian / US partnership and/or corporate returns.
  • Prepare FATCA and CRS annual filings.
  • Liaise with Canada Revenue Agency on tax matters.
  • Assist with Fund and Corporate M&A tax planning.
  • Manage provisions, installments, filing deadlines and processes of tax compliance.
  • Collaborate with tax advisors, conduct tax research, planning and prepare necessary memos, reports on relevant strategies.

What you bring:

  • Professional Accounting Designation required.
  • At least 4 years of experience preparing and reviewing Canadian Income Tax
  • Completion of CPA In-depth Tax Program.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian tax requirements with emphasis on partnership and corporate tax rules.
  • US income tax experience is an asset.
  • Private Equity experience preferred.
  • Fluent in tax software applications
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
