Our client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate for their Corporate Banking team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support the origination and execution of new transactions. Your analytical prowess will be put to good use as you provide detailed credit analyses, prepare credit applications, and conduct industry research.

What you'll do:

As an Associate in Corporate Banking, your primary responsibility will be to support the origination and execution of new transactions across various sectors. You will be involved in every step of the process - from negotiation and structuring to execution. Your analytical skills will be crucial in preparing detailed credit analyses and building financial models. You will also play a key role in ensuring compliance with all relevant banking regulations. Additionally, you will assist with research related to specific sectors or regions, helping the team stay abreast of industry trends and opportunities.

What you bring:

  • 3+ years of relevant professional experience in corporate banking from the Canadian market
  • University degree in Business or Economics, CFA qualifications will be well regarded
  • Experience in preparing credit applications, performing cash flow analysis and financial modelling, and presenting to external clients and internal senior stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of banking products and investments
  • High degree of attention to detail and multi-tasking skill
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new processes and systems
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Full working rights as a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
