Our client is a leading global provider of fund & asset intelligence for commercial real estate. This role provides an opportunity to play a vital role in the preparation of financial statements, analysis, and interactions with various finance teams worldwide.
As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring the precise and timely completion of corporate financial reporting. Your role will encompass supporting financial schedules for quarterly/annual financial statements, accompanying notes, and MD&A as well as active collaboration with the global finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate in the monthly/quarterly/annual close process, including consolidation and financial statement preparation.
Participate in the preparation of quarterly/annual consolidated financial statements by compiling various note disclosures.
Analyze foreign exchange impacts on financial statement accounts.
Support the preparation of monthly consolidated financial statements, including assisting with monthly variance analyses.
Aid in reconciling statutory financial statements for foreign entities with consolidated financial statements under IFRS.
Assist in the creation of working papers and reports for calculating tax provisions and filing tax returns.
Compile data and perform analysis using complex spreadsheets containing large volumes of data.
Contribute to the research and preparation of technical accounting memorandums.
Manage the accounting for several holding companies.
Collaborate with internal and external auditors by providing working papers and audit response materials.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of finance processes, policies, and controls by identifying and implementing best practices.
Prepare ad-hoc analyses and reports to support senior finance management team or business units.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
CPA (CA/CGA) from Big 4 background preferred.
Proficient understanding of applicable IFRS and OSC/TSX reporting requirements.
Ability to handle complex technical accounting areas such as multi-currency consolidations and foreign exchange transactions.
Exposure to other GAAPs (e.g., US, UK) and reporting requirements is an asset.
Familiarity with SOX controls and Workday is considered a plus.
Ability to work independently with a strong sense of integrity and attention to detail.
