It is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving team in a pivotal finance role as a Development Controller. It plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial operations and strategic growth within the real estate development sector.
The Development Controller reports directly to the VP Finance, and it will be performed in both Antigua and Barbuda.
The ideal candidate needs to be in Barbuda a minimum of three working days a week
Responsibilities:
Lead audit coordination and preparation of work papers for external auditors.
Collaborate with external tax preparers to complete tax returns and estimates.
Create internal financial management reports and perform budget analysis.
Manage project finances, including cash position and accounts payable.
Oversee accounts receivable for the development division.
Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and financial schedules.
Supervise a team of 3-4 individuals, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Assist in system implementation and roll-out.
Support HOA setup, structuring, and processes.
Prepare budgets and reports for investors.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
5 years of relevant experience, with a strong preference for development project knowledge.
Proficiency in accounting software, including Intacct Sage, is advantageous.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
