Treasury Analyst

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Treasury Analyst to join a leading non-bank mortgage lender, specialising in commercial and industrial real estate mortgages. With a successful track record of over 25 years and a current real estate mortgage portfolio of $3 billion, this organisation consistently delivers strong absolute cash yields to its investors.

The Treasury Analyst will report to the VP of Finance and be part of a larger finance and accounting team, focusing on cash and liquidity management, credit and debt facilities, and Forex and treasury reports.

What you'll do:

  • Creating processes to maintain operational cash flow
  • Creating annual budgets for various stakeholders
  • Making cash flow predictions on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • Understanding agreements with lenders
  • Compilation of monthly borrowing base calculations
  • Compilation of quarterly covenant calculations
  • Develop regular treasury reports for executives to review
  • Develop relationships with lenders and financial institutions
  • Manage the foreign exchange hedging program and conduct foreign currency trades
  • Assess banking fees and interest arrangements

What you bring:

  • 2-5+ years of relevant experience in a managerial position in an IR department.
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Finance, or relevant field.
  • Strong user of Excel with experience in building cashflow models.
  • Analytical skills that allow you to interpret the results of the models and make recommendations.
  • The ability to be very organized.
  • Experience working collaboratively with other resources within an organization.
  • Experience with financial covenants.
