HR Manager
We are partnered with a leading Canadian transportation company in their search for a HR Manager. This position plays a vital role in building and leading the HR function, working closely with the executive leadership team to ensure HR strategies are aligned with business strategies. This is a hybrid role and offices are located in Mississauga.
Responsibilities of HR Manager:
- This role will support the development and execution of HR initiatives and strategies in the areas of talent attraction and acquisition, onboarding, learning and development, employee engagement and performance management.
- Develop and manage employer branding and recruitment strategies, overseeing full-cycle recruitment for exempt roles and collaborating with managers on staffing needs.
- Contribute to the evolution of the businesses employee engagement strategy by implementing Employee Listening Strategies, managing the annual Employee Engagement Survey, and analyzing engagement data.
- Lead performance management processes, facilitate succession planning, and act as a point of contact for employee concerns and inquiries about policies and procedures.
- Maintain HR records, generate compliance reports, optimize HRIS functionality, and drive the use of HR metrics, while identifying and addressing compliance issues.
- Manage and oversee employee compensation and benefits programs and ensure the business is keeping up to date with market demands.
Qualifications of HR Manager:
- 5+ years experience in a similar opportunity, ideally in a stand alone HR role.
- Bachelor's degree from a recognized post-secondary educational institution, in the field of Human Resources or equivalent preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to identify areas of opportunity and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ability to be vocal and articulate thoughts clearly and effectively at all levels of the organization. You must be comfortable speaking up in meetings, presenting ideas, and offering constructive feedback.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and client groups.
- Experience in the logistics and/or Transportation industries an asset.
- Experience working within a Federally Regulated organization is strongly preferred.
