Senior Lawyer Team Lead - Leading Legal AI Company

Robert Walters is partnering with a leading Legal AI company who are growing and expanding internationally. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the Canadian legal team within an already established and rapidly growing company, with endless career progression opportunities.

Responsibilities of Legal Team Lead:

• Working directly with investment teams at some of the world’s largest private equity and debt funds, financial institutions and corporates as they explore transaction opportunities
• Growing the Legal and Product team in North America to a point of self‐sufficiency
• Reviewing and negotiating contracts such as confidentiality agreements, engagement letters
  and release letters, using a combination of the organizations technology and your own legal
  experience
• Helping establish and agree contract playbooks with current and new clients
• Reviewing the work of junior team members and assisting with their professional development and ongoing training (all of which will also be available to you)

Requirements & Qualifications of Legal Team Lead:

• 3-5 years relevant experience, in line with responsibilities listed above
• Experience working with private equity, asset management or hedge fund clients is strong desired
• Strong leadership skills with an ability to manage a team and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Motivated by working in a fast-paced, diverse and intellectually challenging environment
