Save job

An exceptional opportunity awaits for you to join a globally respected investment management firm as a Senior Associate in Fund Operations, focusing on Performance Reporting. This high-impact position is based in Toronto and offers the chance to work at the heart of private equity fund operations, providing critical insights that drive informed decision-making for both internal and external stakeholders.

You will be part of a collaborative team that values diversity, integrity, and responsible investing, with a strong commitment to professional growth and an inclusive environment. If you are passionate about data-driven analysis, thrive in a supportive setting, and seek to make a meaningful impact within the financial services sector, this role provides the platform to advance your career while working alongside knowledgeable professionals dedicated to excellence.

What you'll do:

  • Take ownership of the timely completion and delivery of detailed reports and analyses for quarterly private equity fund reporting, ensuring accuracy across all investment performance metrics.
  • Support the development of data sets and analytical outputs that underpin fundraising initiatives and other strategic priorities within the firm.
  • Administer the software platform used for financial analysis reporting by executing data collection processes, updating metrics for new funds or investments, building custom reports, troubleshooting issues with third-party support teams, and maintaining data integrity.
  • Prepare comprehensive data analyses for documents produced by client-facing teams such as press releases, investor presentations, scripts, and more.
  • Contribute proactively to the continuous improvement of operational processes within the Fund Operations team by identifying areas for enhancement and implementing best practices.
  • Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis requests from various departments to support evolving business needs.
  • Coordinate and oversee quarterly and annual valuation processes for portfolio companies within the private equity division, ensuring compliance with current market standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date valuation policies by monitoring market developments and integrating relevant changes into internal procedures.
  • Report on valuation analyses through written documentation presented to both internal leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Foster strong relationships with investment professionals and senior management throughout the valuation process to ensure alignment on methodologies and outcomes.

What you bring:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics—or an MBA or equivalent qualification—demonstrates your solid academic foundation in financial principles.
  • Current pursuit or completion of CFA or CPA designations (or similar) highlights your commitment to ongoing professional development within the finance sector.
  • A minimum of 2-4 years’ experience in fund operations or related roles equips you with practical knowledge of performance reporting processes within private equity or asset management environments.
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel and familiarity with financial systems ensures you can manage large datasets efficiently while producing clear analytical outputs.
  • Experience administering software platforms for financial analysis (such as iLevel) is considered an asset that enhances your ability to streamline reporting workflows.
  • Your ability to exercise sound judgment allows you to develop solutions that consider broader business contexts while remaining flexible amid shifting priorities or rapid change.
  • A strong sense of ownership means you consistently follow through on objectives—demonstrating reliability even when faced with complex challenges or tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail underpins your commitment to accuracy in all aspects of reporting, analysis, and documentation.
  • Clear communication skills enable you to present complex concepts confidently—both internally among colleagues at all levels and externally when engaging stakeholders or clients.

What's next:
