What you'll do:
- Take ownership of the timely completion and delivery of detailed reports and analyses for quarterly private equity fund reporting, ensuring accuracy across all investment performance metrics.
- Support the development of data sets and analytical outputs that underpin fundraising initiatives and other strategic priorities within the firm.
- Administer the software platform used for financial analysis reporting by executing data collection processes, updating metrics for new funds or investments, building custom reports, troubleshooting issues with third-party support teams, and maintaining data integrity.
- Prepare comprehensive data analyses for documents produced by client-facing teams such as press releases, investor presentations, scripts, and more.
- Contribute proactively to the continuous improvement of operational processes within the Fund Operations team by identifying areas for enhancement and implementing best practices.
- Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis requests from various departments to support evolving business needs.
- Coordinate and oversee quarterly and annual valuation processes for portfolio companies within the private equity division, ensuring compliance with current market standards.
- Maintain up-to-date valuation policies by monitoring market developments and integrating relevant changes into internal procedures.
- Report on valuation analyses through written documentation presented to both internal leadership and external stakeholders.
- Foster strong relationships with investment professionals and senior management throughout the valuation process to ensure alignment on methodologies and outcomes.
What you bring:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics—or an MBA or equivalent qualification—demonstrates your solid academic foundation in financial principles.
- Current pursuit or completion of CFA or CPA designations (or similar) highlights your commitment to ongoing professional development within the finance sector.
- A minimum of 2-4 years’ experience in fund operations or related roles equips you with practical knowledge of performance reporting processes within private equity or asset management environments.
- Advanced proficiency with Excel and familiarity with financial systems ensures you can manage large datasets efficiently while producing clear analytical outputs.
- Experience administering software platforms for financial analysis (such as iLevel) is considered an asset that enhances your ability to streamline reporting workflows.
- Your ability to exercise sound judgment allows you to develop solutions that consider broader business contexts while remaining flexible amid shifting priorities or rapid change.
