Senior Associate, Corporate Finance (Private Equity)

What you'll do:
- Support the fund manager group by ensuring all accounting records are maintained accurately, completely, and on time in accordance with industry standards.
- Perform daily accounting tasks such as preparing and entering journal entries, processing banking wires, and coding invoices in line with private equity limited partnership agreements.
- Conduct monthly reconciliations of cash positions, accounts receivable balances, and intercompany transactions to ensure financial integrity across multiple entities.
- Prepare billings and communicate effectively regarding invoicing matters with deal teams or third-party operating companies to facilitate smooth financial operations.
- Compile quarter-end reporting lead sheets and working papers required for consolidated public financial reporting processes.
- Assist the Financial Reporting team in preparing public financial statement notes as well as Management Discussion & Analysis documentation for regulatory compliance.
- Contribute to various projects within the Corporate Finance team such as system upgrades or process improvements that enhance operational efficiency.
- Undertake ad hoc tasks as required by senior management or project leads to support evolving business needs.
What you bring:
- A university degree in accounting, finance or business provides you with a solid foundation for understanding complex financial concepts relevant to private equity.
- Professional Accounting Designation (CPA) completed or currently in progress demonstrates your commitment to best practices in financial management.
- At least three years’ experience in areas such as general ledger account reconciliation, preparation of lead sheets, billing processes involving third parties or internal entities, and income statement analysis equips you with practical knowledge essential for this role.
- Strong business acumen combined with curiosity enables you to think strategically about competing issues while identifying opportunities for process improvement.
- Excellent communication skills allow you to proactively complete tasks within tight deadlines while fostering positive relationships across teams.
- A high level of professionalism and maturity ensures you interact effectively with senior executives and other key stakeholders within the firm.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential for managing data analysis tasks efficiently; familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics NAV, ZAP BI or OneStream is highly desirable.
