An exciting opportunity has arisen with our client, a leading international bank, for a seasoned professional to take on the role of Head of Financial Management. This position offers the chance to lead and manage a dedicated financial management team, guiding them in executing financial activities with precision and compliance.
As Head of Financial Management, you will be at the forefront of leading a dynamic team towards achieving organisational goals. Your role will involve overseeing all aspects of financial management from regulatory reporting to budgeting. You will work closely with the CFO in strategic planning processes ensuring alignment between financial goals and overall objectives. Your expertise will be crucial in managing budgeting processes and implementing performance evaluation systems. You will also play a key role in preparing comprehensive financial reports for the board of directors.
Responsibilites:
Lead and manage the financial management team, establishing departmental goals and plans
Supervise and guide the team in executing financial activities including regulatory reporting, financial statement preparation, tax compliance, accounting management, expense payment and reimbursement, budgeting and performance management
Collaborate with the CFO to oversee strategic planning processes related to financial management
Manage budgeting processes, coordinate with department heads to develop annual budgets, monitor budget performance
Develop and implement performance evaluation systems to assess the financial performance of departments individuals
Oversee asset and liability management including liquidity risk, interest risk, foreign exchange risk management, funding management
Ensure the accuracy and compliance of financial data
Prepare financial matters for the board of directors including reports, analysis, and recommendations for strategic decisions
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Financial Management or related fields
5+ years of experience in financial management preferably leading teams
Familiarity with financial regulations and accounting standards
Strong financial analysis ability and risk control capability
Excellent communication skills and team management ability
Effective coordination across departments coupled with problem-solving skills
Strong business acumen and strategic thinking ability
Proficiency in using Excel, financial management software etc.
